Rosenthal-Smock Reading Friday, July 20, 2007 5:00pm-6:00pm Sarah Lawrence creative writing instructor Lucy Rosenthal and noted poet Frederick Smock present a reading of their latest stories and poems, followed by a question-and-answer session. The reading is open to all conference attendees. Athens Writers Dinner, hosted by Terry Kay and the University of Georgia Libraries Friday, July 20, 2007 7:00pm-8:30pm $30 Meet the Athens writing community and our conference presenters at a fun and informal buffet dinner. This is an optional meal; indicate how many tickets you would like on your registration form. Reception, Georgia Center Gallery Friday, July 20, 2007 8:00pm-10:00pm Take this opportunity to meet and greet presenters and attendees. Open to all conference attendees. Connor Speaker: Peter Reinhart Saturday, July 21, 2007 4:15pm-5:15pm Named for Charles and Beverly Connor, founders of the Harriette Austin Writers Conference and its guiding hands for its first twelve years, this is an opportunity to bring our conference community together at the end of the Saturday concurrent sessions. Peter Reinhart will end the concurrent sessions with The Leaven Factor: Finding Mission and Purpose in Your Writing. Booksigning Saturday, July 21, 2007 5:15pm-6:30pm Meet your presenters and other writers; books will be for sale at the conference. Open to all conference attendees. Harriette Austin Writers Dinner Saturday, July 21, 2007 7:00pm-8:30pm $25 Conclude the conference by having dinner with the Harriette Austin Writers family. We promise to pass the pepper with the salt and keep Junior from flinging the mashed potatoes across the table.
