2007 Conference Overview The 2007 Harriette Austin Conference begins on Friday, July 20, with a great lineup of three hour, morning and afternoon intensive workshops. Click on Friday Workshops to pick the sessions that suit your interests and your schedule! At 5:00pm on Friday, join Lucy Rosenthal and Frederick Smock for a reading of their latest works, followed by a question and answer session. At 7:00pm, join the Athens writing community for a fun and informal buffet dinner, hosted by Terry Kay and the University of Georgia Libraries. After the dinner, meet and greet your fellow attendees at a reception in the Georgia Center gallery. Saturday begins with our keynote speaker, Ralph McInerney, author of the Father Dowling mysteries and a long-time friend of the Harriette Austin Writers Conference. Following a full schedule of concurrent sessions, Peter Reinhart will be our first Connor Speaker. The conference concludes with a book signing and the Harriette Austin Writers Dinner. |
